First and foremost, DO make sure you eat before starting the crawl. As tempting as it is to skip a meal and save room for drinks, you don't want to end up looking like a freshman who can't handle their booze. Plus, no one wants to spend their booze money on a late-night burrito when you could be buying shots.

 

Next, DON'T pregame the bar crawl. We know it's a college tradition, but trust us, it's not worth it. You'll only end up passing out before you even make it to the first bar, and no one wants to be that person.

 

DO hydrate before the boozing begins. This means drinking water before, during and after the crawl. Your morning hangover will thank you, and so will your liver.

Whatever you do, DON'T overdo it at the first bar. Pace yourself, my friend.  You don't want to be the one who peaks too early and spends the rest of the night passed out in the corner.

 

Speaking of being prepared, DO check your cash and card funds before heading out. Nobody likes the guy who can't pay for his drinks or constantly asks the bartender to break a $20.

 

Now, ladies, we know you want to look cute, but DON'T wear heels. Trust us, your feet will thank you in the morning. Stick to comfy shoes, like sandals or Converse, and save the heels for the club.

 

Lastly, DON'T go home with someone from the group. We repeat, DON'T. It will only make things awkward the next time you have to see them, and nobody wants to deal with that kind of drama.
